Today being November 1st it is the beginning of NaNoWriMo. As someone who enjoys writing and aspires to get paid for their writing I intend to use this month to shake off the dust and get back into writing. I am aiming for a full novel, not just the 50k normal cap, for this month. However, with the new responsibilities I have at work this is likely to cut into blog time.
As such, for the month of November I am going to ramp back the expected new content to 3 posts a week. Most likely this will be Mon, Wed, and Fri. Posts may still pop up on Tues and Thurs depending on my free time, but I can't make any promises for it.
That said, is anyone else planning on giving NaNo a try or otherwise participating? If so, what are you planning on writing?
I've done nano a few times but never managed to hit the 50k mark.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you and I hope you rock it!
While I do have fiction ideas rattling around upstairs, this month I'm trying my hand at something a tiny bit different, and joining in the NaGa DeMon, and designing a game through November.
ReplyDeleteIf it goes well, I might give a novel a shot next year. Something like a city based low fantasy story keeps trying to get me to write it at the moment...
I'm not going to be doing NaNo but I'm thinking of trying to use this month as a prompt to increase the content level in my blog. It's been tough to keep the quality level with working 60+ hours a week, but if I use this is a "Do it right" month I might be able to.
ReplyDeleteI am trying again this year, fantasy, and it will be an exploration of the history of my campaign world. So I should be able to mine it for useful information in any case.
