I'm going to be a cheap no-goodnick today. No RPG advice for you. Instead I'm going to wish you a fond weekend and hope that those of you in the U.S. enjoy your turkey day. Everyone else, enjoy your Thursday (have some Turkey!) Then hopefully everyone will have a safe black friday and not go club someone over the last pack of Game Science dice that they can find.
Personally, I'm going to be heading to my Uncle's place on Wednesday and staying there until Saturday. My cousin and his wife already have a weekend's worth of gaming (Victorian era Pathfinder occult investigation, or something) and, well, I have no idea on Pathfinder so anyone have some fun build/ideas that center around a churchman? (More on that at the bottom.)
Other than that, it should be a fun weekend. At the time of this writing my NaNo project is at 47.5k and I've yet to do any writing on it today, so I can safely say that I'll be crossing the NaNo finish line soon (50k.) The story itself is probably going to be 70-80k, and that should also be done by the end of November. I'm excited. The story has gone a lot easier than I thought it would, and as I approach the end pieces are starting to shape up nicely. I already know several parts are going to need heavy re-writes and edits but that's ok. It's part of the process, right?
Game wise. Seriously, I need to get moving on M.A|C.C. It's been sitting there collecting dust in my shelf for almost 2 years now. It's gone through 5 personal revisions already and is close to as strong as I can make it without outside help. I've sent copies out to others for review/advice, and have enough for a sixth pass through. I just need to do it, and then get on to something else with it. Maybe a project for December/January while other things are being allowed to cool on the back burners.
RPG wise, both games I run are going great. My L5R game won't be meeting this Friday (3/5 of the game is out of town, including me) but as far as missing game goes, that's not too bad. We'll pick back up in December and go on with things. Shadowrun won't miss a session which is good, though at least one of my players still needs to make their character.
How about you? What does your gaming look like over the holiday weekend? Any big or special projects you're particularly proud of? Sound off in the comments.
Been eager to see what M.A|C.C. looks like now :D
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it currently still looks a lot like it did when you saw it. I need to put those edits through since folks like you gave me good feedback. :)
